We are not equal in the eyes of the law

The Grand Old Party has become merely a name that bears no resemblance to the original Republican Party. Thomas Jefferson would be mortified if he could see what his idea of self-governing and fairness has turned into.
I know that even during the colonial era, the wealthy played by different rules than what the common people were subject to. However, the experiment of self-governance was based on a set of laws designed to rule the land rather than by a king’s decree.
Our system of government was divided into three separate branches to create checks and balances; therefore, no one branch could become corrupt with power.
The Legislative Branch
Our forefathers believed our new government could work, and to succeed, it needed a Legislative Branch that made laws for us all to abide by — representatives from each colony would gather to discuss and create federal laws and represent the wants and needs of their colony’s citizens. (Landowners only)
Each colony was responsible for creating their own State laws for its citizens that were enforced strictly within that colony. We use that same system today.
The Executive Branch
The Executive Branch — Presidency — is a very powerful branch of government. In the blog by Mollylaughlin | IssueVoter, she explains a few of their responsibilities:
The President
- Serves as head of the Executive Branch and chief decision-maker, similar to a CEO
- Implements and enforces laws passed by Congress
- Appoints leaders of federal departments and agencies
- Appoints Supreme Court Justices
- Setting national priorities and policies
- Serves as Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy, which includes the power to deploy American forces abroad and commit them to Military operations
- Represents the United States in foreign affairs
However, this is just a small portion of what the leader of our country is supposed to do and be.
This next portion was written by me.
What is not part of the Presidential duties:
- Tear down the existing structure of our government to serve their own interests
- Create an extravagant amount of profit for themselves while taking food out of their citizens’ mouths
- Disband the two other branches of the government so they can solely rule without checks or balances
- Treat all allies as if they are shit
- Give our enemies whatever their heart desires
- Call everyone who does not agree with them or criticizes them an enemy of the state
- To be the President for only those people who voted for them, and will sign a contract of Devotion and Loyalty
At present, our leader is doing exactly what he shouldn’t be doing, and he is proud of his vulgar attempt at being the President for the people.
The Judicial Branch
Then there is the Supreme Court of the United States. (SCOTUS)
This branch has always been a weak link in our system. It was designed properly except for one thing, it’ s a lifetime appointment. In this day and age, that is an absurd practice, and I believe if our forefathers were here today, they would agree.
We are now witnessing the negative effects and consequences due to these permanent positions. SCOTUS has become politically biased and corrupt, and all we can do is wait for them to die.
Billionaires are courting weak and corruptible on the panel. It appears that the smell of expensive yachts, big bucks on the barbie, and shapely perfumes is sucking them in. This brings me to ask, “Is our highest court in the nation nothing more than an expensive call girl?”

Worst of all, our government has betrayed us. Our leaders have always preached that everyone is equal in the eyes of the law.
BULLSHIT!
Equal but only within each social biosphere. People in the lower classes who cannot afford high-priced attorneys suffer the most when facing legal issues.
It is the poor who fill our prisons, face the harshest punishments, and are convicted more frequently than the rich.
Even the prisons for the wealthy are a world of difference. They are the country clubs of the penal system.
If the laws were doled out equally, America would have a chance at succeeding. Unfortunately, the good-ole-boys club (The ones who feel superior to everyone else.) has been around even before the first shot was fired at Lexington. It is they, and our culture, that decide which laws apply to whom.
It is because of this small flaw in our government that we have a felon running our country. He should be behind bars for trying to overturn a free and fair election with violence.
It is always easy to see when a crook is given unbridled authority, because they start by exercising their power with pardons for all their convicted buddies. This is why Donald Trump is not an American President but rather, our first American Dictator.

Billionaires became rich because we make and buy their products. Politicians wouldn’t have their salaries and great medical benefits without our votes. Without the poor supporting him, Trump would just be another racist slumlord in New York City.
Whether you agree with me or not, remember we must not be afraid to speak out. We must protest peacefully if we want to have a chance at rescuing our great country.
We, the little people, are the true fabric of this amazing country. It is the little people who will save our Democracy!
Peace, Love, and Unconditional Happiness!
